    • Role Purpose

      To provide commercial support to the Company UK through end to end management of the procurement process for high/medium risk, high/medium value procurement activity within the CRM category.

      CRM category will cover Customer Service, Retention, Telesales, Credit and Collections Contact Centres.  Back office and other services supporting customer operations are also included in the category.  The category covers suppliers supporting both Consumer and Business Customers.

      Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities

      1. Liaise with the Company’s PC Category manager for categories where a Global category plan is applicable. Ensure Opco’s views and requirements are understood during the strategy development and represent the Opco in any subsequent negotiations. Where regional opportunities exist, lead or liaise with Ireland to develop a procurement strategy and deliver against the strategy.
      2. Where a local category plan is applicable, develop a local procurement strategy (local category plan) with internal stakeholders which seek out business opportunities, capitalise on current market conditions and challenges business requirements. Lead supplier selection and negotiations.
      3. Manage the procurement process for key projects, ensuring the selection of suppliers with the capability to meet our needs, high service standards, efficient executions and competitive rates.  
      4. Lead commercial reviews and negotiations with suppliers to identify and deliver:
      • Improved standards of performance and contribution from suppliers
      • Efficiency improvements
      • Appropriate remuneration models achieving an effective alignment of competitive fees and incentives for exceptional performance against targets.
      • Cost savings opportunities (consolidation/redefine scope of work/rates reduction etc)
      • Incremental value-add from the leading suppliers
      5. Identify and deliver commercial best practices and synergy benefits through effective collaboration with peers in other Operating Companies, and Global Supply Chain
      6. Ensure the appropriate use of alternative procurement methods across the range of requirements using e-business tools as required.
      7. Lead the annual Supplier Performance Measurement reviews, including stakeholders to drive improved performance, efficiency and contribution from the relationship. Create, agree and deliver continuous improvement plans.
      8. Drive SCM engagement with customers & move towards a business partner role.
      9. Be an active member of the UK Supply Chain Management Team taking on additional ad-hoc projects and tasks as required to facilitate the development of the department and raise the functions profile within the Company.
      10. Manage relationships and stakeholder relations. Influence, challenge and drive change to add incremental value.
      11. Vendor management and strategic relationship management for local suppliers.

      Role synopsis

      The Company spends approximately $1.1bn every year on property activities ranging from buying and selling land, construction or fit out of office building through to managing the operations of the Company’s facilities world wide. Of this $500m is spent on Facilities Management (FM) activities which include maintenance, catering, security, cleaning and a range of office services. This is supported by the FM team in Indirect Procurement.

      This role is accountable for the development of cost maps, analysis and reporting of cost and savings data and other performance indicators, and acquisition of market information in support of the FM category team. It is expected that this activity will take up 50% of the time with the remainder devoted to managing sourcing activity typically less than $3m spend.

      This role offers the opportunity and scope to develop into a procurement specialist role within FM or other Indirect categories.

      IP is organized based on areas of spend. This role sits within the Travel and Property organisation as part of the Travel Services team. The Company Travel Services team provides both sourcing and program management across a global program with regional accountabilities in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia Pacific. The scope of the Travel team includes airline, rental car, chauffeured car, Travel Management Company, hotels, and strategic meetings management. This scope of this role is to manage day-to-day delivery of services that support the Company’s global travel program.

      Performs service delivery management for EMEA region and global program through third party service providers for air, car, hotels, limo, Travel Management Company, and meetings mgmt and advises on improvements to performance management processes.
