Role purpose
The role holder will be directly responsible for driving execution against a number of key projects within the Creative Services Digital/Online Agency global category, where annual expenditure is approx 20m+. A key focus will be the globalisation of working methods and processes through the implementation of tools, sourcing strategies and management systems. They will also provide support to Category Senior Management to assist in the development and execution of the Global Category Strategy for Digital Services and other related Sales & Marketing Services category activity.
The role holder will ensure that project plans are aligned with relevant key business stakeholders and SCM representatives with appropriate experience from the operating companies.
Implementation plans and success kpis will be defined with the core project teams, where appropriate, based upon an accurate assessment of the operational environment, available resources and identified project dependencies. Negotiations strategies will be developed and approved in accordance with the agreed procurement models for these activities. SPM will be implemented with relevant key supplier relationships underpinned by structured performance reviews and improvement plans with the global supplier. The role holder will also be involved with evaluation of alternative sourcing models for digital services and share in market best practice solutions with the wider SCM Community.

Make recommendations on balancing competitive pricing, equipment diversity, process standardisation opportunities and longer term supplier relationships for the subcategory
Implement actions to optimally leverage Client category suppliers globally; ensure consistency of best practices and processes
Drive common standards across vendors to ensure comparability of supplier equipment within the subcategory in global price books and consistency in eAuctions
Implement eCommerce best practice solutions within category to realise commercial benefits
Investigate and drive performance improvements on specific opportunities identified within the sub-category
Knowledge and Experience
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to draw insights from a large volume of diverse data
Background in SCM, preferably in a global environment
Technical category knowledge, or the ability to develop this to enable effective engagement with stakeholders and suppliers
