The Procurement Specialist, Facilities Management (FM) will be responsible for leading, the end-to-end supply chain management of categories within the FM Sector. This will involve leveraging spend and value within our Client’s Property Services Sector for all major offices across the European region. This will include developing and executing sourcing strategies in alignment with category and sub-category strategies.

The Specialist will have significant engagement with internal customers to build a solid understanding options and risks associated with supply chain activities. They will develop strong supplier relationships to achieve superior supplier performance, negotiating commercial terms to deliver best value solutions, and the measurement of the value delivered.

The successful candidate will work in a small specialist procurement team supported by the wider global Indirect Procurement community. This role offers the opportunity and scope to initiate, shape and drive change within an important area of the Indirect Procurement spend portfolio.

Key accountabilities:

Work with the market sector and commodity managers to implement sourcing processes to ensure delivery of business plans and market sector/commodity strategies
Develop sourcing strategies in alignment with applicable market sector / category strategies and specific business objectives (local, regional and global)
Understand business requirements for third party goods and services
Developing and maintaining knowledge of relevant supply market places
Engage the business and provide guidance on PSCM process and risk management
Manage supplier relationships, engagement and involvement
Lead the full sourcing process which includes development of demand, supplier selection, commercial negotiation, and contract execution, aligned where possible with market sector strategy
Provide on-going contract cost management and risk assessment
Champion and supporting the deployment of the appropriate purchase to pay solution
Ensure the PSCM common processes are implemented, used and continual improved
Support execution of supplier performance management and improvement initiatives
Participate in company networks, sharing information, best practices and lessons learned
Interface where relevant with the Indirect Procurement Operations Centre

Essential criteria & qualifications:

Experience of procuring service-based contracts in the region of $ 5-10 million per annum
Experience of working with and influencing both internal and external stakeholders
Track record of strong supplier performance measurement and management
Experience of procuring within diverse project-based environments
